The PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana, India’s direct benefit transfer scheme for farmers, is gearing up to release its 20th instalment in 2025. Farmers who wish to receive the Rs 2,000 payment must ensure that specific verification steps are completed well in advance.
Launched in 2019, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme provides ₹6,000 per year to eligible small and marginal farmers in three equal instalments. With the 20th instalment expected soon, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has reminded farmers to update their records to avoid payment delays.

5. Check Beneficiary Status: Use the “Know Your Status” option on the PM-KISAN portal
